With the bad weather approaching my tire store has gotten very busy. It gets so busy that the employees can't even leave for lunch so I feed them here.
I just managed to get 22 young men fed and back to work! Today's menu was spaghetti, garlic bread and green salad. I should say only 21 because I had one that didn't like spaghetti  Now I'm off to do the dishes :smt100

    Sounds delicious!
Those workers probably appreciate a good home cooked meal :)

Deanna, I guess I am in the 'dark'...where is here? At your office, home or what? That is a very nice thing to do for the guys. I am sure they really appreciated your thoughtfulness.

"Here" is at the tire store where I work :D I'm the office manager for the local Michelin tire dealership. If anyone asks me my job I tell them I'm the den mother :D . Since I don't have any children of my own I've kind of adopted all the kids I work with :p A couple years ago my boss let me put in a small apartment sized kitchen in our breakroom. It has more than paid for itself!! If I'm too busy to fix lunch and we have to order out it is sooooo expensive!! Last week I ordered pizzas and chicken and the bill was $146!!
I don't cook all the time, only during our busy season which is in the fall when the snow tires go on (about 3 weeks, sometimes 4) and in the spring when snow tires have to come off. My co-worker Tamie, helps me. However she says I spoil them :-?
Last night I put 3 pot roasts in my roaster ( 9 or 10 pounds) and will shred them for tacos on Monday. Right now I'm cooking 8 pounds of chicken to shred for tacos also. The boys are always very appreciative and will eat anything you put in front of them!

If you were just a little closer I'd be there for lunch. It sounds like the best place to eat in town! Delicious :-D

You are so good to them. I think it sounds great and like a lot of fun too. I'll bet it does wonders for morale and company loyalty and makes working so hard a bit easier for them... though it sure doesn't sound easier on you! I can tell you like doing it. Making me hungry now too...

Wow....I wish I worked for you...of course I don't work, only at home but it would be so nice to have a great lady like you cooking for all...I understand the price of things. We went to Curlys in Green Bay and the hamburger and french frys cost us 10.95 each and then a drink for each and the tip....way too much for it but we were going into the Packer Hall of Fame and wanted to catch a quick lunch...and of course they were very slow...prices are so ridiculous...
