It's 95.7F on the front porch in the shade at 3:50 PM EST. And still enough time left in the day to get hotter! Can you say, "Hotter than H*ll?"

I think you're allowed CK as it certainly seems like you're having a heatwave there. :-D

It's been like that here a lot in the last couple of weeks now Capt. Today we got a break from the heat when a thunderstorm hit. We needed the rain badly too!

The high ended up at 96.8 here. Tomorrow is our turn for rain and we really need it!

If the weather is still moving east, you will be getting what we have in a day or so, the high here to day is 64º, and windy. You are south of us, but the cool front should pass your way soon.

Yep, the cold front came through on Tues. afternoon. I got 3/4 of an inch of rain. could have used more, but I won't complain. That's the first rain I have had since the end of May. 96 on Monday and I got up at 5 am today and it was 56 outside! So I have turned off the air and opened up the house.

We are getting the rain you sent this way today Capt. We usually get something similar the next day from Ohio, just marginally warmer. Not cool enough to turn the air off today, but MUCH better than the last few days.

I thought this summer had been really cool, so far we are normally over 100 by now. There is nothing normal (if there ever was) about the weather anymore, I give up guessing.

It's supposed to be 94 today, I guess thats not to bad  . Yesterday afternoon we had a thunderstorm with wind and a little hail. It cooled down briefly, but then the mugginess set in and the swamp coolers down here can't do there job. The rain can be a blessing, but then we have to deal with humidity, which is a real killer for me!
