Laboring on the Labor Day Holiday. I went out at 9 am and started putting stain on my front deck. Got er all done and it looks really nice. Some parts got 2 coats and some just a heavy one coat. Now to keep the cat in all day so he won't decorate it with paw prints and white hair!

I'm glad I wasn't the only one out trying to get things done. Isn't that what labor day is for anyway? We used to go to parades and picnics but now we just stay off the roads and let the world pass by without us. dooley

Glad you got 'er done Capt.
We need to stain both our decks too, but we have been unable to get them dried out with all the rain we've had this year.

I did ours 2 years ago, but it was looking kind of bad from scraping snow off of it. I had about 3/4 of a gal left from then, but bought a new gal in case I needed it. I still have about of stain in the bottom of the old can and an unoped gal of new.

WOW! You were energetic :D My husband stained our porches about 3 weeks ago and they look great! We had nasty gouges and scrapes from the snow shovel

Well done, Capt. Ours was done two years ago too, it's hard work but well worth the effort.

I don't have any decking to stain but do like to get the fences and the shed done before winter sets in. Now if only it would stop raining for long enough for me to tackle them!!
Well done on finishing the decking CK and it's good to know you've still got plenty of stain left for next time around.
