OK, I probably shouldn't post these pictures...but maybe I have a wicked heart  . Actually I really enjoy spring and just have to share...Sorry in advance. Like many of you, we haven't had our usual winter here. Just the opposite type of weather than all of you in the snow belt. :-? We are more than a month early with spring in the temperate rain forest.

I have never seen rosemary blooming this time a year. Crazy, but wonderful. This is only one of several big plants I saw on the street overlooking the sound on a walk around the neighborhood.

How beautiful! We, too, are enjoying Spring-like weather and have been most of the month of Feb. BUT I haven't seen any flowers blooming yet. It could be that I just haven't been near any gardens this past month. I'm sure people have bulbs starting tho! I know that if I still had the bulbs I had at our other home down the street, I would see alot of the Spring blossoms coming up already - I had tons of bulbs and can't wait to get started again.

    I love Spring! I envy you! :)

Glendann, your daffies are earlier than ours. Mine should bloom this week.

Wannabe and Newfpaws thanks for your graciousness..I hated our looonnnggg winter last year with all the snow so understand. :( Of course the rest of the world was probably mild last winter. Darn jet streams.

Barbara how sad you had to leave your bulbs..hope the new residents really enjoy them. We do have such a nice temperate climate...if you like rain ;)

What a lovely sight! :D Your Bergenia are looking very pretty. I need to get myself a dry, stony area and grow those. I can almost smell the rosemary all the way here.

--Chuckle-- a few weeks ago, my face would probably have flushed green and my eyes would have gone all red, like hot coals---but now I am just so pleased to see signs of spring that I can only be happy for you. Happy that I can seee it to! :)

I like that Pulmonaria longifolia. It takes me back to the time that I took over my lottie. There was a row of these along the front of the plot, which I let stay for 4-5 years before removing them.
I like them also because they are one of the first flowers to bloom and the honeybees and bumble bees are pleased to find them on their early foraging expeditions in the spring.

No not wicked at all. I love seeing the blooms.... That pulmonaria longifolia is very pretty, very delicate and the color is so gentle. I'm feeling a bit inspired to go outside (in the cold) and poke around and pretend Spring is here too!
