Didn't get to see any alpine flowers but had a good visit to Whistler. I must admit, and I have been against all the money wasted on these Olympic games, that they did a good job and the people are using the left overs, and the place looks great. The area in these photos is for pedestrians only, and it is huge.

Cool pics. And lots of flora, even though no alpines :) For those, you should have climbed some of those mountains around :)
    What's with Whistler and The O.G. ???
    I have no idea...

    Welcome back Kildale!!
What a beautiful place Whistler is. Everything looks so clean and those mountains in the background set the whole scene off to perfection. It's just the kind of place I'd love to visit and spend some time exploring.

Hi calinromania. Whistler is the name of the town and O G is for the Winter Olympic games held here last year. Most of the roads up the mountains were still under snow and the lifts were very expensive.

Absolutely BEAUTIFUL. I would love to just sit by the river and soak it all in.

Nice place Kildale,..sort of reminds me of Park City, Utah,..with the sunny streets and snow up high.

Very beautiful. Mountains as a backdrop rarely fail to impress.
