white-spotted green leaves

These plants bloom occationally and form a red berry.

Hi, I think your plant is called ancuba japonica/spotted laurel, this might give you a lead.

 

ummm I don't think so... this plant is quite bambooish! it has links in the stem. and the stem is dry, like in bamboo.
