Just got home from a week in one of our state parks, many, many squirrels, but first time we ever saw white, not light grey but true white: this one had a grey stripe: [/img] and very friendly, they were, seemed to love to pose for pics.
We had two this year but unfortunately one was hit by a car and died. I had never seen one either. They're awfully pretty and eye catching, aren't they? The one here has been too fast to catch with the camera. I'm so glad you were able to so everyone can see it! You did a great job getting him to pose for you!
I've only ever seen one white squirrel around here. At first glance I thought it was a kitten stuck up the tree!! I like the first photograph where you can clearly see the contrast between the grey and the white. :-D
I like the black stripe on its back! We've got black ones here every once in awhile, but I've never seen a white one.
I've never even heard of a white squirrel. How lovely. I hope you don't mind that I put one image on my desk top. Will delete as soon as I show my hubby. When I tell him about this one, he's gonna think I'm making it up. :-D
Really a remarkable animal, Suzsie. It is a beautiful animal and it doesn't seem to be an albino. Perhaps he will pass on his genes and there will be more. Thanks for these amazing fotos.
I have never seen a white squirrel before They are just beautiful.I would love for them to show up in our area. Thank you for posting them for us.
