A friend just got a puppy, and was wondering why a small puppy would take so much of her time. I told her that humans conceded control of the house to dogs. Cats simply took control and made you feel grateful they condescended to let you live with them. Who rules at your house?
My dogs, Willow and Wisteria, then Little Alice the tortoise, then the hubby.... until I put my foot down....LOL
Molly the dog rules in my house,..well that's what she thinks,..its really the cats who are in charge though they pretend not to be,..they all let me have some time to myself,..very generous of them
You've no doubt heard of the saying to be 'in the dog house' well we're in the dog's house and serve him as faithful servants always do!!
I'd say no one really rules at my house. Mercy was abused before we got her so she is very timid and only wants love.
The temperature is dropping dramatically and we have high winds--it's called a "Blue Norther". We just braved the weather to go out to the chickens' coop to turn on heat lamps, put down scratch (which helps them keep warmer while digesting it) and put a heat band on the waterer to keep water open for them. Earlier we had put up a tarp to keep the wind out of the coop and made sure that everything in the barn was secured from the wind. Do you think we may be the "staff" for our hens?
My chickens do not like cold and wet. As soon as it dried out even colder they began to produce more and hung outside much more....funny thing about them.
Me. And they know it. Well the dogs do. Dogs: they feed me, play with me and love me. They must be gods. Cats: they feed me, play with me and love me. I must be a god
