I ordered me a new camera today! I orded a Fujifilm FinePix with 10 mega pixel ans 18x optical zoom. I ordered it from Wal Mart web site so that my son could get his 10% discount on it. Plus I am having it delivered to the local store so it's free shipping! I saved about $50 over other places. So in about 10 days I should have it and start taking some great pics!
WOW..You are going to love it! I love my Fugi Fine Pix S700..you are going to have so much fun it! You would be able to zoom right onto the eyes of those turkeys!
Sounds like a good camera! I can't wait to see what you will be posting. When my son was here, he had a Samsung Something. It was awesome. When he took a pic it could be magnified up to 100 times the size of the original pic. But when he went back to Iraq, on one of the air raid sirens, he took a dive behind a wall, and it broke...sigh. I was going to beg for that camera too,,lol.
Congratulations! I got a new camera for my birthday in January and I love it. Having a nice, new camera seemed to open my eyes to all kinds of things that I hadn't noticed before. I am discovering all kinds of crafty things I can do with photographs! I know you will enjoy your camera - I look forward to seeing some great pictures soon.
I should get the new camera on Thurs. or Fri. It is at the local wharhouse and should go out to the store today or tomorrow. I selected site to store delivery because it was free, but it takes 7 to 10 business days. If I had paid for shipping it would have taken 3 to 5, won't do that agin. After I ordered it I found out shipping would have only cost me about $5. It would have been worth it!

Here is a pic of the camera. The lens goes from 26mm wide angle to 487mm zoom without changing lenses. Has a batch of other automatic features too. List price is reasonable at $398. I paid a little less than that because of discounts at WalMart. My son works there and he ordered it for me to use his dicount.
Looks like a nice camera. Did you get it yet? We're waiting for some pics Capt. I've got a little pocket camera and am disappointed with some of my pics sometimes, but it mostly takes good shots and I wanted something I could put in my pocket, so I did get what I asked for and try not to complain (too much) about it.
