It's 36 deg F and some of this white crap is starting to melt. I had to go into town this afternoon for an appointment and it was misting rain.
6:30 pm and we are getting a little drizzel. Which means it will turn to ice later on. And now thy are talking another storm Sun night and Mon with as much as 6 more inches of snow!
Glendann, you need to stop sending your rain up here. Some where enroute it turns to snow! And that ain't good!
We had a whole week without rain or snow but it will be back on Saturday, Sunday, Wednesday and Thursday. Though the week was sunny it was very windy and felt really cold to me. dooley
We're set up for that same storm but the weather guys haven't said how much. I think they are afraid of traumatizing us if it's a lot.... We have had 80 inches of snow this winter so far. I've said it before -- our typical average is 18. It was 39 degrees today though.
I feel so bad for all of you that have received so much snow this year. It seems that it will never quit. I guess if there is a bright side, it will be that your lake levels will be up for sure!
The weather report for today is a high of 35 with some sun. Fr. is 36 with more sun. So we should get some good melting. I usually run a little higher than Columbus, so I should get up closer to 40 for both days. Now to see if I need to build a boat!
They say that 10 inches of snow equals 1 inch of rain, so 25 " of snow would be 2.5 inches of rain. Hopefully the ground underneath isn't too frozen so it can soak up some of the water.
I really hope the snow begins to melt for you but that you won't have any flooding. Better get busy building yourself an ark just as a precaution!!
It's been in the 40's F here the past 3 days. It got up to 47 F today. We have also had some light rain this afternoon. Our 26 in. snow pack is now down to about 10 inches and I can see gravel in the driveway.
