Well all our snow is gone here. It averages about 10C or 50deg. some days higher. As soon as i recover from my trip, I'm hoping to get out there and start making a plan of what I can plant. But it is Norway, so who knows i can still get snow here. So no major planting yet.

We're solidly out of winter and into the cool Spring. It's been in the 50s (F) for past couple weeks, with a few really warm days thrown in as a teaser. I see on the weather it will be in low 50s all this week and mid-high 40s at night. Rainy alot. I remember one Spring, it rained 17 weekends in a row.... talk about frustrating. I think we are past frost risks.... hmmm... I guess we are. The ground is still too cold to plant, but it's been fun getting things ready. Sort of fun anyway, my back is suffering from Spring aches and pains.

It must be spring here with all the rain in the forecast lately. Temps vary from 65 to 80 during the day and 45 to 60 at night. We had a cold night down to 32 last week but it's been said that's the last of it. I've been digging and planting for a while now and haven't had any major losses. Yes, I think winter is gone and spring is here. dooley

I haven't been stuck in winter since.....well since about 1978 when we actually had winter weather for the entire three months designated as the Winter season. ;)

My gardening year has begun in earnest here.
I have to keep reminding myself that it is too early to expect summer perennials to be in the garden centers even if the temperatures have been in the 70-90 degree range a good portion of the last two months.

My main frustration....rain turns our heavy, black clay to glop that will suck your shoes off but two days later it is hard as concrete again and I still have so many plants to move from the backyard to the front yard.
But that is a frustration I gladly put up with because we are still in a drought so any rain we get is more than welcome.

hopefully we're out of snow, but cold weather is still hanging around. We're still only in the 40 degr here. It'll probably be a few more weeks before actually getting to til the garden yet, and May before planting anything.

stuck in winter...barely 40F and a strong north wind. it's snowing in the Cascades at 1500'! the garden grounds are too wet still to work.

on the happy side, lots of seed planting and transplanting to bigger pots going on inside!!! :D

We are about half way too. The weather is like a roller coaster and I'm still waiting for last weeks snow to disappear. I did get some work done in the gardens today, and later in the week they are calling for warmer temps.

While the temps are going up some, we still have snow, the lake is covered with Ice, and the nights are cold. 15 F last night.
