Just thought yall might keep those folks off to our west (Texas) in your prayers. Last time I heard there were 7 wildfires blazing out there and the winds were making the fight pretty difficult. WestTXDaddy, I been a bit worried about you so if you get a chance maybe check in so we know you're okay. I have been hearing the updates on the Texas State News program here and it seems like there were fires blazing everywhere latly.
Just wanted to get the word out, the more prayers the better.

Here's an article I found if yall wanna read more:

OMG!!!! I really hope that no-one is hurt or killed in those fires. The firefighters have some job on their hands trying to control blazes like those.

WTDaddy PLEASE let us know that you and your family are OK.

I've sent a PM to WTxDaddy and asked him to post a message in the Village Square to let us all know how he and his family are. Please keep your fingers crossed that they haven't been caught up in the conflagrations.

    Sorry

I'm so sorry, I did not respond in this forum. I've never been to this forum before, to my recollection. Anyway, as you probably already know, I posted two threads in Members Gallery on the fires: FIRE March 14, 2008 & Aftermath of Fire - both with pictures.

I appreciate y'all's concern (y'all is Texan vernacular for the second-person plural personal pronoun) for me & my family, but we were never in danger. The fires were well East of our home - by about 100 miles - although we were driving to Dallas when we came upon the fires & had to take a different route to make our way. They closed the highway, we normally take and re-routed us to the South. On our way home the following Monday, our usual highway was open & we could see the damage right up to & sometimes crossing the highway. If you haven't seen them already, check out the pix in my Members Gallery threads.

    Thanks again!

    WTxDaddy
