I will apologize in advance for the quality of the photos. They were taken with my phone, but I have been wanting to capture a bit of my drive to and from work as the wild flowers quickly flash by. (Yes, I did stop beside the highway and take most of these or I wasn't the one driving)

Holy Moly! What beautiful wildflowers! I'd have to come up with a special signal for "wildflowers in bloom and I'm going to be late for work and/or late for getting home"!
    So pretty!

Wild flowers are nice since nature does all the work.
Looking for the best stand of wild flowers helps the commute go fast. It also helps to minimize some of the pain of not getting to play in my own yard.
Texas during their spring has the best wild flower show. The hill country has rolling hills covered in blue bonnets, red paintbrush, and wild sunflowers. It is a pretty spectacular sight. :stew2:

Oh Jewell....I did like that group of pictures. That Scotch broome stands out doesn't it. The Lupines, daisys and Digitalis plants were a joy to see.
You have a nice and colourful route to work.

Very pretty! I love the Foxgloves ... I have such a time keeping them growing in the gardens. It's nice to see a patch doing so well in the wild! The Lupin's are nice too. I wish we had such lovely wild flowers here!

Once again Mother Nature shows me that she is the better gardener. I have tried for years to get Foxglove stay around in my garden. The Broomweed is gorgeous and the Lupines are amazing the way they stand up tall. But my favorite too are the Foxglove.

We do have wildflowers pretty much year round on the roadsides. Right now it's Common Broomweed, Wine Cup, Texas Buttercups, Indian Blanket, etc. All thanks to Lady Bird Johnson.
