Wildflowers

    Stopped on the way back across the street to take a couple pictures of wildflowers. First is one we call Indian Paintbrush.

    Then, a couple of fleabane. There was a butterfly on one of them but of course as soon as it saw the camera it became invisible.

    I think that fleabane looks like small daisies, don't you? dr

    The paintbrush is cute , but i like the daisy like ones! Your taking some pics today, all are very nice.

    Fleabane, those little daisy like flowers grow wild all over the state but Mayer has more than their share. Dooley

    The pattern/sweeps of wildflowers are always very beautiful as in the second photo. Nature knows what looks good.

    Garden flowers can be absolutely lovely but there is something really special about wildflowers isn't there? Great shots DR!! :-D

    Nice pictures Dooley. I like the Indian Paintbrush. The fleabane is nice too...nice big clumps!

    I like them both, we have some pretty wildflowers growing here to. Right now is a little lavender one called tractor seat, the seed pods are shaped just like and old tractor seat.
