This morning I had a black bear nose to nose with one of my puppies, Wisteria, with only a screen between them. One bark from my pup and the bear was off.

Then I saw something running across our back grass and it had something in it's mouth. It went back and forth 3 times. I finally saw that it was a groundhog mom carrying one baby at a time from the way back of our property to under our up shed. Hubby will try to trap them tonight. The first 2 years we got here we trapped 21 of them. Can't let them get out of control like that again.

I really like your kind of wildlife rather than mine, TheBip.:p

heh Im in the city, surrounded by houses, so the biggest thing Ive seen in this area was a deer, but that was outside our neighborhood. I see all kinds of birds, like robins, sparrows, grackles, mourning doves, juncos, titmice (mouses?), cowbirds, herons, even a catbird once in awhile! Theres also bunnies, which only munch our clover (at least, I havent seen rabbit damage on anything else...)

Barb, my mom has owned this house for about 11 years now, I lived here 9 of those years, and now Im back :) Bf and I are renting from her (cause she would have to sell otherwise!).

    Geez, nice!
I get the bugs, cats and an occasional hedgehog.
Oh yea, and doves come to drink water from my waterlily pot.
