Will a Bartlett pear tree bear fruit by itself?

Hi I'm new here and I planted a Bartlett Pear tree in my yard. Will this tree bear fruit by itself or must there be another pear tree planted near it?

I think all pears are self fruitful. Certainly I've seen them numerous times all by themselves and loaded with fruit.
