Will it survive???

    Will my poor rhododendron survive??? Last spring I bought a rhododendron and it bloomed beautifully but now it looks like it is dying...here are a few pictures...

    Looks like winter burn injury to me. Rhodos can "burn" if they're exposed to afternoon sun, and are best planted in an eastern exposure. In our Zone 4, anything that's exposed above the snow line will most likely brown out. I'm sure yours will bounce back...it doesn't look too serious.

    I'm with kaseylib on burn injury. They don't like being planted alone and exposed to the winds. The one time I did that, mine looked like that too. I trust you didn't plant it too deep last year? That might also make them look shabby and unwell.
