I needed to take out my daylilies when I had the backyard makeover. Do you think a few of them will do well in containers? I have a small bed for these but was wondering if I can move a few in containers.

Daylilies are very forgiving. Move elsewhere or put in containers they should be O.K. Don't forget to fertilize with 10-10-10 granular fertilizer when they are in their new home.

Thanks. I love my daylilies and would hate to see them distressed.

I have daylilies in containers and in the ground. They grow profusely either way. I give the ones in a washing machine tub the dirty chicken's water because they are near my chicken coop. They love it.

The only thing about containers is that you have to be careful about the watering. Then again, in Seattle, you probably don't have to worry about that!
