The growing season here is winding down quickly. Took out the tomato plants today. The few maters on them were really small and not groing or ripening. I still have a few melons that are ripening though. I have taken down one rain barrel and cleaned it up nand put it away. I will do the other one tomorrow. I put the water on the few flowers that I have left.
Kind of sad to see another season come to an end.

I know how you feel, Capt. I don't like winter much, especially the ones we've had lately with frost-thaw-frost-thaw, no snow but rain. It's just dark and dreary. *sigh* I'm glad so many Stewbies have flowers all year round, they bring colour to my winter.

Ahhh but all the beautiful colors of autumn, think of those! And it is so good to be able to see color from other stewbies when we are just looking at white. The flowers will come back, its just now we get to rest!

Autumn is a sad time indeed. But a great time to think about NEXT years garden and how it can be improved. I am not looking forward to winter either.

I'm with netty. Sure not looking forward to winter as it does seem to be coming early this year. Around here we had such a late frost at the beginning, it just doesn't seem like we had a summer. Next year will deffentily be improving, looking forward to gardening under the new greenhouse.
