I was speaking with a collegue today and he wanted to show me fotos that he had taken recently. He placed them on the web in a slide show format.
My hometown is featured as well as a few pmaces near by.
I hope that you like these.

The snow makes everything even more beautiful than it already is Sjoerd. :-D I love the shots of the sunsets (obviously  ) and the ones of folks having fun on the ice and snow. Thank your friend for us and tell him just how much we enjoyed his photographs.

Simply magical! What a wonderful collection of photographs. The sunsets are magnificent but I also love the simplicity of the berries in the snow and the sailboats in the harbor. What a treat, thanks for sharing.

Wow, those pictures just fed my wanderlust.... What a beautiful place. I would love to experience it in real-life. My favorites are of the sled riding hill. That looks like great fun. Do you sled ride, Sjoerd?

I'm glad that you guys liked those fotos...I shall tell my collegue. He will be proud.
DAISY-- I haven't ridden a sled in a few years, but I do enjoy that sort of thing. If course there are not many places where one can do that here (the highest thing here being a dike...I believe those were sand dunes up north of here, but I will ask Karel the next time i see him).

Heh heh heh...I knew ypou'd like those sunrises and sunsets, EILEEN. ;)

How absolutely gorgeous :) It's so amazing how beautiful the snow is when it's resting on the trees. I wish it stayed pretty like that!

Thank you for sharing your friends pictures. They are very amazing. Where I live we seldom have snow. So I am awe stuck at the beauty of winter and had actual shivers from the beauty of your countryside.

Thank you folks for your nice comments. I will see my collegue today and relate your comments.
I asked him about where those people were sledding because I know that there are no hills around here (we live on the bottom of the ocean), and he said that they were taken in a place called Schoorl. They were sledding down a dune.

    Schoorl:

Schoorl is a place where folks rent little house-like structures in the summer during vacation time.
