So we have rough winters, but not so rough as buffalo, nor what the north east got. We pretty much get high/low cold spells, where one day it will be 30 then the next 50 and the day after -1. We do get plenty of snow, and when we do it turns my own into something else. So I'll share what I get to see everyday :D

This was before the storm, probably a week or two
It is the sulpher creek, the main reason this place isn't a city. People don't want to stay here because of the smell.

Here is a lamp with the foster cottage museum at the back :D

This was taken monday on main street, the roads were pretty nasty. We had been reassured that the snow wouldn't start till late that night, but it seems the people forcasting the wather were wrong.

and one of our many churches in the village as well. This was tuesday. You can tell we certainly didn't get as much snow as those on the east coast did.

I might take more pictures, but it's hard with the weather being so cold. I'm not a person who enjoys the cold.
    Enjoy though!

It is a beautiful town. I love the museum with all the fancy trim.
We have a sulfur creek a couple miles out side of town and I wouldn't want to live near it either! I guess you get used to it though as there are houses near it.

    Brrrr!

Gorgeous photos, and I'm very glad I'm seeing images rather than being there in person! ;)

Thanks for the tour Shawchert. That museum is charming! What causes a sulfur creek? The sulfur mineral in the rocks?

yes there are lots of sulpher deposits in the general area, and it's not the only sulpher creek around here either, there are a few other places but i live here so this one's special ;)

I just love quaint little towns. Your photos are beautiful even though I'm not a big fan of cold and now either.
