Are we talking "growing" vs "flowering" ?

We are about to get snow for the first time this fall and I still have a tree of flowers.. It started to bloom early October and should continue there for another month.. It is a Franklinia alatamaha. I have about 3 or 4 of them This this one is the largest but they all have bloomed. I really enjoy this one, for, I know it's the last flower I will see until the Lenten Rose bloom in Jan or Feb.
