June is definitely a time of quick change of spring perennials. I shared the woodland garden in a post http://www.gardenstew.com/blog/index5463.html but now the rest of the yard is beginning to turn over. The next blooming clematis has begun.

The next round of daylilies has also started along with the blaze rose.

Lots of bellflowers are scattered about. Oriental lilies, and the white phlox all have begun showing off.

I get up early just so that I can spend an hour in the garden before work. What a great time of year.

To make things even sweeter I can enjoy fresh strawberries right from the garden before and after work. Nothing could make life sweeter...until the next round of flowers and berries.

    Great posting, Jewell.
Your garden and yard look so nice. I enjoyed seeing the purple clematis. --What a beaut!

I wish that I had more time too, but at the moment there is just too much going on at the moment.

I'd be always late for work if I went out in the garden in the morning (especially if it was as pretty as yours). Look here. Look there. Oh... look a weed. Oh this poor baby needs a drink. Oh... this one needs to be staked up. Yikes... it's almost lunchtime! :D

Yes Sjoerd, life does keep us busy, but the garden keeps me centered despite the chaos ;)

What a beautiful garden Jewell. I like your comment that your time in the garden keeps you centered. I can related to that & think you are wise to put in an hour in the AM before work. What a great way to start your day.

BTW I love your campanula. Spectacular stand of it. I have bunnies eating mine to a nubbin, so I doubly appreciate yours. The shot of the purple clematis is gorgeous as is the shots of the garden as a whole. Thanks for posting.

Cherylad, you are right. Time always flies in the garden. I give myself 15 minutes which equates to an hour or so... :stew1:

CM, with the stress of finishing up so many tasks this time of year the garden is my refuge before and after work. Love the long days that make it possible. In the winter I go to work and come home in the dark. Have to use this time of year to recharge my vitamin D.

Sorry about the bunnies eating your Campanella.

Philip, the garden is another world. One I love being in too.

    Thanks Tina.
