Last Sun I bought an Oreole feeder and some orange nectar for it. This morning we had a female Oreole eating from it. So now hopefully, she will put out the word and soon the male will be visiting. I have the camera on standbye waiting for him to visit.

"If you hang it, they will come!"

I saw an oriole in my tree one day this year. He was stunningly beautiful. I'm told I was really lucky to see him -- apparently not that common here.

Good luck! You are going to be so excited when he comes.

Hey Beans, you should live in Baltimore for the Baltimore Orioles! :)
Later on we had a juvenile come up to eat from it too. He had problems finding the holes and then pushing the little ball to drink. He was back several times. Then after I put it away, he came back looking for it. I told him he would have to come back tomorrow. If I leave it out, the coons will destroy it!

The Orioles are so beautiful...I love watching them. I put the feeders for them close to the big window so I have a good view and I can watch them during the day. Can't you leave it out until dark or do you get coons all day? I am not sure if they will keep coming back if they come and nothing is there.I know mine eat the most early in the morning...so I make sure everything is set and the jelly is fresh.
