A Wyoming man has broken the record for the worlds largest pumpkin. His pumpkin weighed in at 1491 pounds!! Along with giant pumpkins, he also grows green beans, potatoes, and several varieties of gourds. They also hold the Wyoming state record with a 678-lb. squash. https://mycountry955.com/cheyenne-m...ZNSYBXOCz72Zf3PApTS0PJCui-nwMxB5fzwTyTMio7KV8
I'm not going to tell my hens (providers of manure) about this. They might think I expect them to step up their output to help grow a gigantic vegetable! I've always wondered what is done with the giant pumpkins--huge amount of pies, and how do you cut the thing up?
Not sure humans would find them edible, I have read some cities that have the giant pumpkin and other veggie contests send those veggies to local zoos or wild life centers for the animals to enjoy.
