Here is a shot of a young wren sticking it's head out to get a breath of air in the heat. sewNsow little wren getting a breath of air ( photo / image / picture from sewNsow's Garden )
What a lovely setting you have for your wren box. I think the youngster is admiring your beautiful clematis. :-D
I drill air/vent holes in all my bird-boxes to evacuate the heated air. Somewhere near the peak. It seems minor but it works. Jerry
Breath of fresh, fragrant air and a terrific view, too! That is one fortunate wren. Do you have a similar accomodation for a mature woman, one cat, eight hens, and a husband? If not, just keep posting pictures. We can live in the lap of luxury vicariously
Glad you all like this photo.Bad thing about Clematis on trellis there.Cat can climb up.I have seen her climb up & get on top of birdhouse, peer down as if to say"anybody in here?".This hasn't happened lately. I try to get vines to go up over the house for shade. And there are air holes & knot holes for air. We had a house here that needed a new roof.Big hole in it. Before hub got it fixed ,wren was busy setting up housekeeping. Put twigs in through roof! She must have knew this was the year for holy roof(no rain). sewNsow
