Everything is 3-4 weeks earlier this year due to our June in March temps.Bumblebees have come out. I'm seeing butterflies. My balloon flowers are 8 inches tall. All this, even though April has turned chilly.Normal,really.Wrens have always arrived here during the first week of May.I have been watching & listening, really. Sure enough,Sun. a wren was in my garden shed.

I hope the wren was looking around to see if there was a good nesting site available. Just let's hope the weather is kind to it now that it has arrived.

Eileen,She sure was looking for a place to build. The shed would probably work if I crack a window. We have plenty of good wren houses available.
And barring a snowstorm, the weather will likely be about like May. It can be wet & chilly here in May.
It is the barn swallows that love sheds & our garage. Hubby had to rig a shield to protect our car from bird poo.
All these birds are busy little bug getters. LOL

Ours are early this year too. We already have babies...

You can't see them all in the pic but I know there are 5 baby wrens in this nest under my carport in a cardboard box. They are around 8-10 days old now.

They'll be flying away in a few days, before you know it.
