Hubby & I talked about getting ourselves an SLR digital camera for Christmas, and having that be it for the year. Well...one of those really good deals came along where you can't pass it up, and we've got a Nikon D40 camera heading our way soon! Merry Christmas to us I guess (and yes, we're not doing Christmas presents to each other now this year).

It'll be nice not to have to take film in to be developed anymore, and we can sell the old Nikon camera and a few lenses to make up for a good chunk of the cost of the new camera.

You all probably know how we like to take photos, just image what it'll be like when we don't have to get film developed! :-D

Congrats Pianolady, how exciting. It's hard to believe you've still be using film. I sure you'll have a blast with it. It's really great having digital, I don't know what I'd do without it.

You take such good pictures. I don't know what I'd do without my digital. I take lousy pictures so having the ability to "delete" is amazing. Mine is just a little cheapy but it works for us. The only thing I take pictures of are my flowers, the dog and cat :D

You are going to love it! This way you'll have it figured out in time to take Christmas pictures!
