Today is election day here in the states. That means no more election ads on tv, not more political phone calls and no more junk mail for at least a year! Yep I have already voted!

I will go on my way to work.I'm glad it will be over like you I'm so tired of the mud slinging crap everywhere.I also think it should be a law thats makes them all go collect their posters in a certain amount of time.Like a month thats long enough.

Yes, I too will be glad to have ads and especially all these annoying phone calls stop -- just had another one (my last I hope!!!) reminding me to go out and vote. I'm going out shortly to do my thing!

I got an e-mail yesterday that had a little girl with her grandmother reading her a story. It said:

"Grannie, do all fairy tales begin with
    'Once Upon a Time?"
"No darling. There is a whole series of
    fairy tales that begin with
    "If elected, I promise.'"

St Tammany Parish has the same rules about taking political signs down, but the pols don't do it and nobody gets fined. The signs just sit there and molder away adding to the litter all over.

Oh am I glad we've not got any local elections here as I hate party political broadcasts bellowing out from everywhere - they're all full of lies and 'digs' at the other parties anyway!!!

The ads are hitting heavy right now, just heard one trashing a candidate followed immediately by that candidate trashing the first! Why on earth don't they stick with saying what they stand for?
Eileen, I love LOVE your happy bunny in your sig line!!!

Sweden just had their elections 2 months back and even though I am not eligible to vote I had enough of the constant election buzz. I pity the States next year, the whole world will be sick of the big election before it is over. Have fun!

WE voted after I got out of work tonight. Voting was heavy where I work and where I vote. I too am sick of the political ads. It is hard to decide who is the best of the worst.
