I see in a posting in the gallery that you live in the thumb of Mich. When my wife and I got married in 1965, we went up to the thumb, followed the coast around to the east and then crossed over into Canada on the bridge. Beautiful drive up that way! You are up there where they have the big cherry festival every year aren't you?
Yes I am inthe thumb Captain but the cherry festival is on the west side of the state near Traverse City. We take the drive along the Lake Huron quite often in the spring fall and summer. The lake is always so cold looking with ice and snow in the winter that we stay away from it. You probably crossed the bridge in Port Huron over to Canada. That's about an hour drive from us.
Yes Port Huron Bridge. I couldn't think of the name of it. There was a small park at the top of the thumb that had a light house that was really pretty.
There are acutally two spans of the Blue Water Bridge now. There is so much traffic crossing back and forth between Port Huron and Sarnia, Canada that a second span was built several years ago.
I didn't know that! I have only been up in that area once since 1965 and that was at least 10 years ago or longer.
