I like the toaster idea too. One of our favorite night time snacks is cheese bread...just an open faced toasted cheese sandwich. We no longer have a small toaster oven so it requires heating up the big oven and the kitchen and the AC running to cool things down.

You would certainly have to be standing there the whole time. If the pop-up mechanism works and you aren't there to catch then they could end up on the floor.

Yeah, when I presented this toaster idea to Paige, she was full of cautions. :)

It's definitely not something that you could do without watching closely, and I would fully expect to exhibit much caution when using this method. I'm definitely going to try it myself, but I sure won't be walking away and doing something else while the cheese toast is cooking! ;)

Well, I for one, thank you my dear friend, Ronnie.

I now have a old gift from a very good friend that I have had many many great meals with. This little oven was my favorite thing to cook with. My daughter and I had so soon many hot, open face, sandwiches made with it when she was a youngster.

Yum, I will do that for lunch today. To bad it will be all by myself....but all my Stewbie friends are always welcome.... ;)

English muffin, butter, lace swiss cheese, and green olives all broiled in my little 40 year old toaster oven. Drunk in fruit, from last weekends sangria, on the side.

What do you want???? My tastes have changed from 40 years ago plus that's all I had in the house that I wanted to get rid of.

All in all it was delicious. Thanks for the idea of a sideways toaster. I have about everything in thus house....

    Looks and sounds good.
See, it's things like that that make me want to get a toaster oven.
