We experienced really awful winds yesterday they are gradually subsidising down to 56mph now. We are out today but will have a walk around the garden to see if there is any damage and to check it out after our trip away.
@Sjoerd found this on the rain in winters .. I thought you would like it. Also this saying …God created the world and the Dutch created the Netherlands. Today we are expecting lots of rain. Wind and hail.

We have sun off and on Loggie— a picture like yours only with large puffy Vermeer-clouds. Pac— Thank you so much for showing this great vid. The Bride and I sat down and watched it together. It was spot on. — all the words, the saying. Yeppers, all so spot on, so familiar and commonly heard. The rain is just something that is a part of our life that sometimes we actually plant things in the rain. It is that or be too late. You get used to it. The weather app used is the one I use and the red brolly is one of the ones we have, sold by a road and camping organization. All so familiar, the bloke who put this together, did a very accurate and well-montaged vid. We both thank you loads.
Sjoerd it was a clear and sunny sky but now the cloud has come over. We're supposed to have some snow then it disappears to come back again.
Very frosty and cold here by our coastline.......but stunningly beautiful in the wall to wall sunshine. 3C.
Loggie— we had a few brief snow showers, not enough to be visible on the ground. Thanks for the vid. Oreti— good that you can keep an eye on things at home whilst away. Handy, is that aye?
Winter weather is creepin in for all of us. It’s cloudy, overcast and stuck in the clouds a heavy marine layer with temps in the low 40F. We have a blocking stream in place keeping the climate warmer and drier. We will warm up and in a few days in the 30’s. It like a weather roller coaster with the highs and lows popping up and down. As much as I would rather be out gardening in dry weather conditions our weather is very similar to Sjoerd’s and the UK . It seems we are all birds of a feather with similar weather conditions . Here PNW it’s always raining and seems 3/4 of my garden has been planted and maintained in rain. There’s a standing joke with PNW gardeners. “Plants grow like they are on steroids from the constant rain and temperate climate “. @Oreti nice pic for garden checks .hope your having a great trip. And lots of memories. @Logan nice clear skies a light frost on the shady side of the lawn. I always enjoy seeing the beautiful view even in winters. We have had a few frosty days too.
