We have a very exceptional Legion member in our post. She is a retired Army nurse. In 2004 she was voted Legionaire of the Year for our post. She also turned 100 years old that year. For her birthday she had a ride in a hot air balloon. In 2005 the coach of Ohio State football called her to wish her a happy birthday. She is an avid OSU football fan. This year for her birthday, she received a ride in a new Lamborghini. She was quoted as saying the call from coach Trestle was almost as good as doing 130 mph in a Lamborghini! She was also quoted as saying she didn't know what she would do for her 103rd birthday!
