I don't think so. You'll just have blooms later in the summer :p Glenda will know for sure ;)

Down here in Texas we can plant Zinnia seeds into sometime in August and still have plenty of time for them to bloom.

From germination to blooming usually takes 30-50 days, depending on the temp and sun level, so you should have plenty of time for blooms.

I started some white Zinnia seeds a few weeks ago so you are not the only one who is late planting them. They germinated in 4 days and now have their first set of true leaves.

They are going to be a little bit later blooming but that is ok with me. With all this cold weather we have been having lately, I might have timed it right anyhow. We will see.

CC -- did you start them in a pot or just sow them in the ground?

Daisybeans, I planted the zinnias in pots to be transferred to a wooden 1/2 barrel later on. For some reason, everytime I direct sow, some ugly bug comes along and eats them. Hopefully, the chipmunk in the greenhouse leaves them alone.

Here is a picture of last years Zinnias:

This year has been so wet, everything is doing better in pots than the ground. Maybe I'll start a pot today while I'm sitting on the porch watching more rain...
