This may be an odd question, but have they changed the zones recently? I just looked on a few zone maps and they say I'm a zone 4b, when I used to be 5a!
I always figured it depended on which zone map you looked at. Our zone is listed as 7 on some maps, 8 on a few and even 9 on a couple I have found. The way the lines wiggle around between most of the zones it is hard to tell. One map I found divided the country I live in right down the middle so I was in zone 7 and less than 30 miles east was zone 8.
