My Lettuce garden

Category: Vegetable, Herbs, Grapes and other Fruit. | Posted: Sat Nov 12, 2011 7:50 pm

My buttercrunch lettuce was planted to early when it was hot it had an overpowering bitterness, I composted them. I now have 4 heads of red sails lettuce.

Two heads of Flashy Trout back Lettuce. It is a romaine type and it makes a striking addition to a salad mix. These are still not mature I have just been picking leaves off the outside.

I also have romaine, gourmet salad bowl, grand rapids, and a red romaine called Outredgeous. They still have some growing to do.

I'm going to be making lots of salads, sandwiches, burgers, and lettuce wraps with them.
