Photos of some of the Vegetables so farI am still pretty new to gardening. Though I've read quite a bit in the past, and familiar with a lot of plants, actually growing food plants to harvest has never been something I've been successful with - for lack of sun, time or "I have always supposed it to be my own fault -- because I would not take the trouble of practicing. " - Elizabeth / J. Austen (Pride & Prejudice) Here are some photos of the few things that are already looking good, I will probably read more on growing potatoes since I got to the 'put in the ground and water part', but after that I am not so sure. I think I read that you keep mulching as the plants grow up and up, but does that make more potatoes in the mulch? Any advice or recommended books very much appreciated! Mostly lettuce but also beans, squash, cukes and peppers, among others. Also started some things from end cuttings from veggies such as celery and lettuce, those are coming along as well. I have more impetus for this, this year, due to the pandemic situation, probably like many other folks. This has kept me focused on something else, feeling productive and like I'm 'doing something'. Whether I will get to a harvest this time around (for once) is another story, but maybe blogging on it will add another element to drive me onward. Last one - spring/green onions - and a bit of radish in the foreground. green onion ( photo / image / picture from Chrysanthemum's Garden ) [/img] This blog entry has been viewed 392 times
