Petal.....the garden fairyIt has been one hectic week. I've been getting my web site set up this last week while waiting for glass ornaments and ceramic supplies to arrive so I can start putting them on my site. So, I figured I may as well start cleaning out some rubbermaid tubs and get ready for a garage sale as well. I found this old watercolor I did in 1999. I'd been looking for it for some time and just figured I'd lost it in a move or something! Since she (Petal) is the main character in a childrens book I was working on, it may be a sign of sorts to finish that project too! I think with the move from Dallas two years ago for work I lost so much of myself and put everything I really enjoy doing on a shelf (or rather in a closet!). It's time to get back to being creative again and finishing up old projects and beginning new ones. This blog entry has been viewed 792 times

I hope you get around to finishing your children's book Buda, it would be a shame to stop now. Is there a gardening element to it?
Actually Frank there is a gardening element.
I think that's a splendid idea! I especially like the idea of including seeds with the book.
Buda you are a very talented artist.Kids would love that book expecialy if mom are parents love gardening and wants to teach their children to be plant lovers too.I for one would love to view your site when you get it finished.
This illustration is a lovely start to a children's book. You have real talent, buda and I wish all gardening knowledge will get passed to the next generation.
Your Petals is a beauty, please finish your book. Talent like yours must be used, not hid away. I like the gardening element too. We bought a children's gardening book years ago and started reading it as a good-night story, but the girls were helping with sowing as soon as they could hold a pea and put it in a hole. *lol*
Don't hide your talent in a Rubbermaid container. Please finish the book.
Time to knuckle down and get that book finished Buda 'cause we all want to see it when it's finished. I think your idea is a grand way to introduce chidren to gardening and Petals will fill them with enthusiasm too I'm sure as she's so lovely.
Please let me encourage you to finish the book. I have a very talented daughter who made up a character when she was 2 years old and I keep begging her to put her into a children's book. Also my Mom, before dementia set in, could have written so much about her life and never did. Now it is lost in her fragile mind forever.
Thank you all for the wonderful words of encouragement. I started more writing on the book over the weekend. It actually was great since it was raining so hard....(pray for more rain, I won't have any excuses!!).
