Not often I'm in a photo. It is not often that I am caught in a photo. I am usually taking the photos. This weekend during harvest I looked up to see my sister Brenda snapping shots from between the back rests of the pergola. She was very sneaking. I thought it good that she caught me working since most of you probably think I just walk around with camera in hand telling nature how to smile. Not so, and this is proof. I do put my camera down every once in a while to cut some lavender. This weekend we actually pulled out some lavender that was dying from the fungus and replaced them with new ones. There is always something to do. We are preparing for this next weekend for the Rowlett Freedom Festival. Should be a really great show for us. Until next time. Lavender Up! Well hello there PRH!! So nice to meet you - although I can't actually mke out your face properly. Maybe next time Brenda can catch you looking in her direction so make sure you always have a big smile ready for us. LOL
you certainly grow some gorgeous plants. I can only imagine how your field must smell. Heavenly
Well you do work PRH!! Those are good pics. I'm sure the Rowlett Freedom Fest will be a lot of fun.
I like the way your cap, T-shirt trim and lavender match, and I'm convinced you planned it that way for us. :)
You do get down with those beautiful plants. Thanks Brenda for showing us he works.
It's nice to see you working. But you must still get out and take those pics. They are always so great. Thank Brenda for us will you please.
Hey Dude! Those are some pretty beautiful plants there.
Thanks for asking. We bundle the lavender after we cut it and use rubber bands to band them together. From there we hang them on chains in our shop for drying. We put plastic under the bundles to catch the buds as they drop off. Then we use the buds in our various products. We have about 30 products in our line. When we stop for a break from the sun we will sit down and weave lavender wands out of the bundles. Very relaxing. That pergola comes in real handy when it comes time to rest. Until next time. Lavender Up!
