Rain Just When I Needed It

We worked ALL DAY weeding and renovating two berms yesterday, digging out the dogwood that died on me, and the wild tree that decided to grow in it's place. Replaced it with a Black Lace Elderberry. It looked interesting so I had to give it a try (berm on the left).
The berm on the right, we started all over with it. I divided some hostas from my hosta "farm", found a Mountain Fire Pieris (Pieris japonica) which claims it'll grow in the shade, we'll see. It doesn't show up in the pic due to the shade. Surrounded that with impatiens in a matching color. Will try to get some mulch on that today. Got it all edged too!
Got most the weeding done in the vegetable garden. Just a few places to touch up left to do. Re-tilled where I'd planted watermelon, decided I'd rather have more tomatoes! Found a bunch of heirloom varieties for $.75 at the hardware store.
After the long day of work, it rained last night, talk about perfect timing!
