My Maine Veggie gardenI thought I would take a moment and write a little here today. I just game in from the garden after finding those awful, destructive Colorado beetles on my potato plants again. They can cause so much damage in such a short time, it's amazing. I am trying to have as organic a garden as I can so home concoctions is what I am using. It seems as though I am always at war with something that wants to keep me out of the garden or cause damage to my crop. The last month my battle has been with the famous Maine black flies. Beware, don't ever visit Maine during our black fly season. My garden is small for what I would like to plant in but it's all I can handle on my own. here is a list of the veggies I currently have growing in the garden. I am still working on getting pics on this blog as well as in the forum chat. I took some nice pics this a.m with the morning dew as the sun was just rising. Potatoes (2 kinds) Summer squash (2 kinds) radishes onions arugula lettuce green beans yellow beans tomatoes (2 kinds) cuckes (2 kinds) pumpkins cabbage carrots beets dill basil parsley[/img] This blog entry has been viewed 273 times

Looking forward to photos Jeanabelle. Also if you manage to come up with an organic method for dealing with the Colorado beetles we'd love to hear it :)
I understand about the blackfly problem...Here in Vermont we go through the same plague until July. Can't wait to see pics of your garden.
Lots of good eating ahead for you.
Wow! That's a small garden? Sounds nice! Never knew about the black flies in New England states! Guess I don't get out of Ohio much, but always wanted to visit up there in the fall!
