New vegetable starts

Category: Homemade Greenhouse | Posted: Fri Jan 27, 2012 5:46 pm

Well, it's almost February and I'm running behind on the greenhouse occupants. So far I have 84 tomato starts, also have cucumbers, cabbage, peppers, jalemeno peppers and very few flowers. I need to get on that right away. One of the reasons I'm behind is it's been rather mild for winter here. I'm still getting veggies from my raised beds. I picked some tomatoes yesterday along with carrots and a few turnips. Lettuce also, and the brussels sprouts aren't quite ready yet. I'm getting the compost ready for that garden.
On some of the cooler mornings, I've been photographing birds on my feeders. Got a lot of photos. Doing that is making me lazy. So, it's time to get back at the task at hand.

I find that photography can take me away from the garden too Emmett. It's not that I don't want to play in the dirt it's just that I love taking shots of all the birds that visit my feeders. I must buckle under too and get on with sowing more seeds.

I would love to see some of your bird photos, is there a place on here to post them? I have a couple of tales about some of my birds.
