Party AnimalsIs summertime always this hot? The humans are all complaining about the heat and dragging us out for walks at some unearthly hour in the morning to avoid working up a sweat later. They had to venture out in the afternoon sun a couple of weeks ago when we were invited to a party. We both thought that it would be the usual boring old stuff; humans standing around, barking at each other as they ate and drank from ridiculously small bowls. Well... that certainly happened and some of the drinks smelled decidedly stronger than water. What we didn't realise was that because the party was outdoors in a big garden there would be a few new dogs for us to meet. Every one of them was a cousin, uncle or aunt. (Well, it follows that because the humans are all related to each other, the dogs must be too!) There was Auntie Heidi... ![]() Great Uncle Ben (he's 112 in dog years!) ![]() Cousins Amber... ![]() ...and Daisy... ![]() And last, but by no means least, Mad Uncle Oscar... ![]() We didn't think we'd get on with him at first, but eventually we saw eye-to-eye about things. ![]() What a day. We didn't realise that we had so many relatives. A week later we met another one . Cousin Chester... ![]() Talk about being made to feel small! This blog entry has been viewed 446 times

Aaahh family gatherings, times to be cherished :) Why do they can Mad Uncle Oscar mad? He must have done something crazy to earn that title. Having said that I can see the madness in his eyes *shiver*
Nothing beats seeing a bunch of happy dogs. I don't know how some people can be mean to them. I think Archie and Max are lucky to be where they are.
Now that's a good looking bunch of canines even if I say so myself. Cousin Chester looks a lot like my beloved old Blue used to. Really wonderful pictures and I'm glad you all had a lovely time. Login or register to leave a comment. |
