New Bed Bench

Category: Winter projects | Posted: Sun Jan 13, 2013 3:21 am

Had plans to build a little sofa bed. An old wooden coffee table worked great instead.
Here it is right after I brought it how and tossed an old piece of foam on top. Was thinking of painting it, but decided I liked it just the way it was.

Here it is after I got the baskets online. They store a lot of craft supplies and fit perfectly.

Then I remembered using another one up at the cabin for the old TV, games and videos. A small DVD and stereo are behind the doors.

Namaste Jewell,
Wow .. what a good and auspicious new year you will have this Water Snake Year. You did a good job, Dear One. Congrats on your so easy sleeper - and yes, such a blessing you have. Thank you so much for sharing a part of your journey with us. Most enjoyable indeed.
Much love and blessings,
Agnes

You did good, Jewell.

I think that it looks smart annnnnd there is storage space under it too.

Well done.

Absolutely perfect and it will serve you well for years to come. Just over $10 dollars and if you saw the same thing made up in a store they would be charging you far, far more. What a find!!

That is a clever idea Jewell! Looks like kitty is giving the bed a trial run!

Agnes and Kay, me and the kitty (Buddy) gave it a trial run yesterday. I even fell asleep reading on it and my little Amber (dog) crawled up and was asleep by my knees when I woke up.
Sjoerd and GF it is going to work wonderfully.
Best part is that it cost significantly less than the wood, hinges, etc. I would have had to purchase. Think I will probably paint it white this summer to match my cabinets (across the room) and wall shelves above.

Jewell,
Very impressive! Don't you love it when you can start & finish a project in a day? Your sleeping bench looks great particularly since your little kitty is tying it out for size.

Jewell,
I just looked at your bench again and, you know, it is beckoning to me to try it out for size too!
