Chapter 5 Shade Garden and Storage Area

Category: Starting and Maintaining the Garden | Posted: Sun Jun 16, 2013 9:49 pm

The garden storage area is finally finished. It has plenty of room for hiding my small stockpile of building materials, plant supports, plastic tool storage containers.

The woodland area is filling in, but needs a few plants moved around. I also need to be patient and wait to see how large some of the hostas will get.

The sword ferns have all gotten their fronds and are quite large.

No to do some major cleaning in the front yard....

very nice. Love the storage areas and also the table and chairs. Nice place for you to serve me coffee on a breeze summer afternoon one day.

5th picture down, love the bench. So adorable. Looks really great, maybe a little more color in your woody area. But I agree nice place to sit and have some coffee. :)

Wow... that's the best looking storage area I've ever seen. Your new owl bench looks right at home. Everything looks so plush.

You are all welcome to join the garden party on Thursday. A little champagne and little sandwiches to welcome summer.

If you check Chapter 1, you can see how quickly this last section plants have grown. Most of the area is pretty deep shade with only a little light hitting the outside north areas.

I am thinking narcissus bulbs on the outside edges of the hostas, and am hoping that there is enough light for the digitalis to be successful.

We are really loving the storage area. It turned out much nicer than I had hoped. Now for about six other projects that I am in the middle of....contemplating the next steps of each.
