Today, a Spotted TowheeHi Jewell. The answer to the Varied Thrush is yes, we saw it as it made its call as you mentioned. The Spotted Towhee is rather shy but tends to stay longer after a few visits. At first it would just take a seed and leave, it was rather hard to get a decent picture. Now however it hangs about a lot more. You have some exotic birds (well to me anyway) visiting you Kildale. The red eye of the Towhee really stands out against the black head feathers.
Yes the eye is so different.
You must be a bird "whisperer". You certainly get close, clear pics!
if its eyes are red it means its crossed over to the darkside!
