Robin calls for the berries. There are a few robins in the garden, seeing off the berries on a mountin ash. I do save a lot of the berries for later in the winter when there is not much around for them. This is the female of course. Our robins are feasting on bramble berries at the moment. Next will be our Mountain ash's and then the rose hips. They're also enjoying sharing the crab apples with the blackbirds.
We have so many old apple trees around of different varieties the fruit eating birds have lots to eat right into spring. Amazing how long it all lasts. Login or register to leave a comment. |
