A Beetle today, Hybodera tuberculataPerhaps there may be more interest in insects. I will post a few. The ones that I post are all taken in the garden, so look out for them. If I'd seem this in the garden I would have thought it was some type of fly and not a beetle. Again you are teaching me new things Kildale.
I find myself wanting to recoil from it, but as I look at it longer, it really isn't gross. Just a beetle!
I like seeing all your pics. These are tiny things in our gardens that we too often do not notice.
I love them too. Maybe this bug and I have met om my garden once. I am not sure, but I am sure I shooed him away.
Insects photos, fungi photos, I enjoy them all Kildale! You may have the most keen interest in nature I've ever witnessed. I'd love to hear about the beginning of your interest.
Hi Frank. I've loved birds for as long as I can remember. As a child I used to cut bird pictures out of Nursery Rhyme books that I had. My dad, although he died when I was 10, always had a piece of grass in his mouth. Any dead bird that I found was buried in pur garden.
Hi Frank. This was a review of our nature site by Bio Techniques three years ago and we work on it every day.If fondness is measured by the amount of effort that goes into a web site, Derrick Ditchburn certainly has an enormous affection for nature. Ditchburn and his son are the two principals of the Dereila Nature Inn, a site that describes itself as “A Virtual Inn for Nature Lovers,” and it’s loaded with cyber delights. Test your knowledge of birds with the eight-bird crossword puzzles. Assemble online jigsaw puzzles of butterflies, insects, wildflowers, or mammals. Maybe you’ll want to cook up a batch of tasty pudding for a chickadee’s palate. Probably the most impressive aspect of the site is its all-encompassing set of photos. From birds to bees to flowers and trees, the Dereila Inn has it covered. There’s even a newsletter to boot!
Kildale I just subscribed to your newsletter!
Thank you Frank, I thought that you already received it, 143 people have already signed up for it.
I'm not sure I had Kildale. My email address was accepted freely so maybe it wasn't in the registry. Login or register to leave a comment. |
