A green tree frog

Category: My wildlife images | Posted: Fri Apr 16, 2010 5:47 am

Went lookng for a couple of rare plants today, so rare that they are counted each year. Anyway, I saw this frog and I had to take a few picture. We were also startled when we came across a Canada goose and it flew up squawking and making such a din.We were up on a mountain and miles from water, the last thing we expected was a nesting goose.

Mmm, as you say, a strange place for a goose to nest. I've heard of geese doing this before though and when the eggs hatch they walk for miles to the nearest water. Let's hope the chicks survive the arduous journey.

I've seen tree frogs here but only in butterfly farms or zoos. Lovely little creatures with their padded toes.

I have had a few hundred published but only shoot nature topics now. I used to photograph everything, horses, yachts etc when I was shooting for agencies. Now its just what people see in my web site and insects for a garden magazine.
