Link to where we were this Memorial Day Weekend
Category: Trips and Vacations | Posted: Tue May 30, 2006 5:26 pm Greetings all, For those of you that don't know Colorado very well, here is some information on where we were. The photos of the fish on the website are just a bit smaller than the ones we caught. Its not stocked, so the fish are wild and a bit of a challenge to catch - truly a skill here... http://www.coloradofishing.net/ft_lcreek.htm Enjoy. This blog entry has been viewed 730 times
Memorial Day Weekend - 2006
Category: Trips and Vacations | Posted: Tue May 30, 2006 4:14 pm Greetings All, Tom (my boyfriend) and I went camping over the Memorial Day weekend and had a wonderful time! It was the first time that we've been away together (we've been together over a year)so I was rather shocked when he actually showed up to go with me camping. He's known for backing out at the last minute but that's yet another boring story. We went to a place that he and his family used to camp when he was very young and he has some wonderful memories of the place. To say the least, its very very beautiful there. Its called Lost Part, just south of Kenosha Pass in South Park Colorado. I'll try to find a link to it on mapquest and post here shortly. We caught lots of fish in the little brook/stream that ran through the area and oddly didn't see many people, though we did run into his brother that he hadn't seen in 10 years (small world? coincidence??). The photos don't do the place justice, but here they are nonetheless - sorry about the quality - I guess its time for a new digital camera....: This blog entry has been viewed 596 times
New Braces - 05-24-06
Category: Braces | Posted: Fri May 26, 2006 7:42 pm Well, here I am... a 47 year old single female and I've got braces. Wow! Never thought this would happen. I've wanted them all my life but have to admit I feel a little silly and self concious to say the least. But... theyre on now and will be on for 10 months, give or take. In approximately 4 months I'll get the lower ones put on. The tops are clear brackets but the bottom ones will have to be metallic. Either way, I get to change the color of the inserts at every adjustment. I've just spent a mountain of money on these so I may as well have some fun with it all. So far no pain, only achy. After having 3 teeth pulled 4 weeks ago and the ensuing pain, I doubt the braces will hurt at all! Sooooo.... here I am, the first ones are turquoise and purple in honor of my hunka grandmother who passed away several years ago - our family colors. Pilamyaye Yilo, Grandmother for giving me the wisdom to do what is best for me. This blog entry has been viewed 1295 times
